Bloodletting Press's most recent release, Urban Gothic by Brian Keene, is another fine publishing package! Beautiful two-tone cover complemented by fantastic full color interior illos, courtesy of Alex McVey! Unfortunately, the actual tale from prolific wordsmith Keene is another story. A virtually formulaic, cliched plot wrapped around unbelievable characters made for a flat, boring read. My first (of many) boxes arrived Saturday. I could not have asked for it to be packaged any safer then it was. Generous use of archival protective bags, bubblewrap and packing peanuts, the slight shipping fee charged is worth spending just for the safe packing.
Not only will I be buying more books from The Horror Mall but it will be my primary source for my horror addiction.
