Greg Gifune's digital short story, Ushers of Darkness, is another fine tale from him. The protagonist's characterization is fully realized, even in a story that's barely 16 or 17 pages long. The tale is marvelously written, as is customary with Gifune. The only drawback, in my opinion, is the cliched resolution, which was a mild disappointment. Other than that, you could do a lot worse for $1.49. Highly recommended!
