I love the double entendre of the title. I have read some hardcore horror before that left me cold. But, God help me, I liked this story a lot. There really is an element of horror apart from the visceral nature of the events. What strikes me the most is the callousness of both major characters. Although the unnamed main character shows some concern, it isn't enough to make him act more than nominally. That is the scariest part about it to me. Highly recommended.

I'm a huge fan of Wrath James White and of Necro so Yaccub's Curse was a delight for me. I can honestly say that I have enjoyed everything Wrath has wrote so far and I try to devour everything he puts out. But with this book, it's his strongest to date. This book and the story demands your attention and once it has it, you simply cannot put the book down. This novel has an amazing story and it makes you think too. It's a hard book to just casually read, you end up flying through the pages and you can't help it. And just when you think you have it figured out....well I won't spoil anything. Wrath fans will fucking love this especially those who really enjoyed Hero and Orgy of Souls. Buy the beautiful hardback or even the trade paperback, just read it.

I am no fan of siction but something about this book made me buy it. Not the softcover but the hardcover. Was it worth it? Dam right! Loved it, loved it.
The story starts like a coming of age tale which I really liked, you get to know all about the characters and there are some GREAT characters to know. Wrath has done a great job in telling this story and like the above review says "you cannot put it down."
This is such a good story, if you have not picked this up you are missing out on some fantastic fiction and the twist at the end?........
