I didn't much care for Andy Deane's The Sticks. Way too cliched werewolf novel! First off, he doesn't cover any new ground in his tale; and secondly, he tries to emulate Jeff Strand's humorous horror approach, but comes up a bit short in that department too. The best thing about this release, I'm sorry to say for Deane, is the fine cover art by Zach McCain! Not recommended!
Just a quick note to say thanks!
my order got here today & it was a pleasure doing business with you-
A few emails along with an (unasked for) tracking number made everything nice-
Beautiful book, too!
Thanks again~

I have been a customer for over a year and I couldn't be happier. I found this site by accident and have not bought any books from anyone else since. I love horror and Horror Mall is the place to shop! I highly recommend it. Prompt shipping and great service. I highly recommend Horror Mall.
Author: Mark Gunnells This one fell a little flat for me. The writing was solid, but the characterization was sorely lacking and the plot kind of by the numbers. It was a fun little romp, but I never felt overly invested in what was going on.
Author: Eric Taylor Why is there still copies of this book available? Urban Gothic, Keene's tribute to Edward Lee is an action packed gross out novel that keeps you constantly on your toes. Keene has a way of making you get attached to a character just to turn the page and see them get their head smashed in by an inbred mutant. Add on top of a great story the fact that this will be another one of Larry's masterpieces, and theres no excuse for this not being sold out pre-publication.
Shame on you folks! (But theres still time to make this a sell out!!)
Author: William C. Rasmussen Bloodletting Press's most recent release, Urban Gothic by Brian Keene, is another fine publishing package! Beautiful two-tone cover complemented by fantastic full color interior illos, courtesy of Alex McVey! Unfortunately, the actual tale from prolific wordsmith Keene is another story. A virtually formulaic, cliched plot wrapped around unbelievable characters made for a flat, boring read. Let's hope Keene can come up with some interesting stories in the future, once he steps away from his Laymon and Lee homages. Recommended, but only for the production values!
