McBride is one of my favourite authors, and this new novel from him goes a long way to explaining why. Such depth of research is rare outside of a Michael Crichton novel, but McBride has a way of taking the driest scientific explanations and breathing life into them. Great character development, great pace, great suspense, and most of all, great tone and rhythm. As the novel progresses, all the pieces of the puzzle fall into place, and everything starts to make sense. Kudos to Michael...
