I am no fan of siction but something about this book made me buy it. Not the softcover but the hardcover. Was it worth it? Dam right! Loved it, loved it.
The story starts like a coming of age tale which I really liked, you get to know all about the characters and there are some GREAT characters to know. Wrath has done a great job in telling this story and like the above review says "you cannot put it down."
This is such a good story, if you have not picked this up you are missing out on...
Larry and Shane are the tops in the business. I have never had an issue with any order (and there have been many) and I have been 100% satisfied with the care and quality of their products. I cannot recommend this store more highly and I will certainly be placing another order soon. Thanks guys.
Author: William C. Rasmussen J. F. Gonzalez's Secrets is a strange little novelette. It's fairly well-written, has a small cast of characters, and is basically a locked-room mystery. But, there is a supernatural element involved, and there's the rub. You see, when all is said and done--you've seen the plot before. Perhaps in a better light, perhaps not, but it's been done before. So that alone pulled this four-star production down to a three-star rating. Of course, you can't go wrong with anything Sideshow Press publishes--it's always beautiful and affordable, as this edition is! Whether they put out signed/limiteds, sgd/tpbs, or chaps--they take pride in their work and it shows. I've been a fan of theirs from the start, and I don't see that changing anytime soon! Highly recommended, but mainly for the production values!
Author: Brian Shaner Secrets is the story of five friends trapped in a bar with an enigmatic stranger due to a snow storm. As the story unfolds, the stranger reveals a dark secret about each one of the friends. Turmoil ensues. The first half of the story reminded me of King’s Storm of the Century, while the second half brought to mind the movie Identity. Nothing really new here, but it is an entertaining and well told story, with a surprise ending I didn’t see coming. This is the third story I’ve read by Gonzalez (Hero and Primitve were the others), and by far the one I enjoyed the most.
