Most sequels fail to live up to the original even if the sequel is very good. But in Sacrifice, the sequel to Covenant, John Everson not only equals the first book but surpasses it. Covenant was a good novel and set the framework for this book, but now the evil has been set free and is touring the country. Now Joe Kieran, who joined with the demon Malachai in Covenant, must hunt down the evil to put it to rest for good. Featuring a lot of action and enough sex and violence to satisfy the...
I would like thank Larry Shane for their continuous improvements to the Horror Mall, making our shopping experience the best it can be. Customer service is top notch and I love the point system.

It's awesome to have a one-stop-shop for horror books run by two twisted nuts you can trust. Larry and Shane set the standard for customer service. I believe this store will do nothing but please both the casual shopper and collector.
John Everson shares a deep purple den in Naperville, Illinois with a cockatoo and cockatiel, a disparate collection of fake skulls, twisted skeletal fairies, Alan Clark illustrations and a large stuffed Eeyore. There's also a mounted Chinese fowling spider named Stoker courtesy of Charlee Jacob, an ever-growing shelf of custom mix CDs and an acoustic guitar that he can't really play but that his son Shaun likes to hear him beat on anyway. Sometimes his wife Geri is surprised to find him shuffling through more public areas of the house, but it's usually only to brew another cup of coffee. In order to avoid the onerous task of writing, he holds down a regular job as a publications director, records pop-rock songs in a hidden home studio, experiments with the insatiable culinary joys of the jalapeno, designs photo collage art book covers for Delirium and his own boutique small press, loses hours in expanding an array of gardens and chases frequent excursions into the bizarre visual headspace of '70s euro-horror DVDs with a shot of Makers Mark and a tall glass of Newcastle.
The first Dark Arts Books release is Candy in the Dumpster, a compilation of 12 "new and used" horror stories by four Chicago authors: Jay Bonansinga, Bill Breedlove, John Everson, and Martin Mundt.

John Everson has to be congratulated for having the courage of his nightmares. Not every writer would be able to convert his most freakish and kinkiest imaginings into neatly plotted narratives..." --Paul DiFilippo, Asimov's Science Fiction
