The perfect calendar for us horror fans. The illustrations are amazing, a quality product that has certainly inspired this writer to conjure up some dark tales.
Horror Mall is wonderful site. It functions like a well-run business should. The customer is obviously very important to Larry and Shane. They respond quickly to questions and the site is designed to easily discovery new items. Everything I've purchased here has arrived in a timely manner, well-packed, and in great condition. And, holy crap, they have layaway! I can finally pick up some books that have been out of reach for me. The selection is great. I'm always discovering new things that I wouldn't have otherwise found. I check in here at least 2-3 times a day. And the forums are a lot of fun, too...
Author: geoff guthrie He Stepped Through is a Lovecraftian story using the Cthulu Mythos. It starts with a couple of detectives trying to save some hostages in a diner from a two-some that are local gang members. When they arrive in the diner they find that these gang members are insane and even eating some of the customers. What happened to these gang members? This isn’t the usual fare with this gang, and when other deaths occur in the same fashion everything leads to this gang, and detective Walker aims to find out what’s behind all this strange new behavior.
This was an enjoyable and engaging read. If you like Lovecraft you’ll like the references, but by no means must you be familiar with the Lovecraft mythos to enjoy this story. The story is fast passed and ends before you know it, and you’ll want more. This was a good read!
Author: William C. Rasmussen Nate Southard's new novelette from Bloodletting Press, He Stepped Through, is a fine, original take on the Cthulhu Mythos. Incorporating drugs, gangs and the Mythos, Southard pens a creative tale that works beautifully once you learn what the cryptic words, "he stepped through" means. Great story, great little chapbook, and I highly recommend it!
Author: David Dickey I just got finished reading this just a few minutes ago and I really enjoyed the hell out of this story. After loving all the tales from his earlier collection, Broken Skin, I just devoured this one and was enthralled by it. You can read it in one sitting so it is a bit shorter than I wanted, which was a tad disappointing but the story really does pack a punch. Nate's writing reminded me of early Koontz, a bit of Edward Lee, and a pinch of Keene thrown in for good measure all wrapped up in an original take on an age old mythos. But this is none of those authors, this is Nate fucking Southard. Remember that because I have a feeling you'll be seeing his name a lot more often in the coming years. Pick this up if you can or buy it digitally if you want and I can guarantee you'll be wanting more.
