I think this is by far Rice's best novel post The Witching Hour. I felt her work after that time became very stale and repetitious, but with this one she reconnected with the lyrical beauty of a mournful story. The main character is obviously modeled a great deal on her, and I was totally invested in her grief and her obsession with this spirit. I don't recommend a lot of Rice's later work, but I definitely recommend this one.

Creeptych by John Everson is a neat little collection of three tales dealing with man-eating bugs! There's nothing spectacular about the stories, but they're just plain ol' good "B" movie-style creature horror. What kicks this production up a notch is the cool mini-HC design and artwork from Delirium! Great package! Highly recommended!

Nature horror man, that shit floats my boat so it does, John Everson floats my boat too and them little Delirium Hardcovers float my boat. So you stick all that shit together then you got something that pretty much makes my boat something unsinkable. VIOLET LAGOON was my favorite of the three cause it felt a little more fleshed out. A fine read this book is.
